Transformers

Building Positive Behaviours

Although it is a completely normal human emotion, when anger gets out of control and turns destructive, it can lead to problems in school, with siblings, family and peer relationships and impinge on the child’s quality of life. Learning how to control anger is possible.

Transformers is a six week education group for children aged 5–13 years to help prevent, contain and resolve anger while building positive behaviours.

In Transformers, children will learn how to:

  • Increase awareness of personal strengths;
  • Improve relationships and communication skills;
  • Identify and label feelings;
  • Reduce impulsive acting-out behaviours;
  • Monitor their behaviour;
  • Develop alternative responses;
  • Increase awareness and consequences of negative behaviours.
